# Address book

Tap the Contacts button at the bottom of the application window.


# User statuses

Every user in the address book will be displayed with one of the following statuses:

/client-ios/media/gui/statuses_addr_book/online/en.png — online
/client-ios/media/gui/statuses_addr_book/in_cloud/en.png — recently active: a status for the users who were previously logged in using their mobile app but are currently offline
/client-ios/media/gui/statuses_addr_book/owner/en.png — the owner of an ongoing conference
/client-ios/media/gui/statuses_addr_book/busy/en.png — busy (currently participates in a video call or conference)
/client-ios/media/gui/statuses_addr_book/offline/en.png — offline
/client-ios/media/gui/statuses_addr_book/unknown/en.png — unknown (e.g., an account does not exist or is created on an external server which is not federated with your server instance. This status may also be assigned to an existing user on the same server which has not been yet added to the address book.)

# Quick preview

Tap and hold on a contact icon in the address book to open the quick preview window. Here, you can call the selected contact, send a message or block the user. Click on the profile avatar to view detailed information about the contact.


# User profile

If you want to visit a user profile, choose it in the address book and tap the /client-ios/media/gui/user_profile/en.png button. In the user profile you can do the following actions:


# How to find a contact

To find a contact, enter their TrueConf ID or username in the search box.


# How to add a new contact

To add a user to the address book, find the contact as described above and press the /client-ios/media/gui/add_contact/en.png button.


Please note that you don’t have to add users manually. Instead, your TrueConf Server administrator can organize your address book and set up user group display automatically.

# How to block or delete a contact

If you want to prevent a user from calling and sending messages to you, proceed to the user profile and tap Ban.

To quickly remove a user from the address book, just swipe left the user's name in the address book.

Alternatively, you can go to the user profile and tap the Delete button.

# Call history

To view the call history, activate this switcher:


You can also use a call filter with the following parameters:

  • History — all calls

  • Missed — missed and rejected calls

  • In — incoming calls

  • Out — outgoing calls.


The call history with a specific user is available in the user profile.

# Organizing address book

# Address book display

To enable user group display in the address book, you need to enable the Show Groups option in the Options → General section.


# Adding user groups

To create a group, proceed to Options → General → Manage → New, enter the group's name and tap the Create button.


# Editing or deleting groups

To delete or edit a group:

  1. Go to the list of groups in the address book (if they are not visible, enable the group display).

  2. Find your group, tap the /client-ios/media/gui/more/en.png button opposite its name and choose Edit Group or Delete Group in the pop-up menu.

# Global user list

Open your address book and tap the /client-ios/media/gui/catalog/en.png button to view the users of other TrueConf Server instances federated with your server.
