# Access Control

Initially, there is only one account on the server - this is the admin, who has the Administrator role. You can change its login and password in the directory. Deleting this account is prohibited.

# Roles

The TrueConf MCU implements a multi-user administration system:

  • administrator - by default, has all rights to manage the server;

  • operator — plans and conducts conferences, creates user accounts. Does not have access to server settings and user roles.

To configure roles, go to Administration → Roles. When you select a role, you will see a card with basic information about it:

  • role name;

  • role description;

  • the list of users assigned to it.


# Adding a new user

To assign a user to a role, first add them to the directory.

To add a user:

  1. Select a role.

  2. Press the Add button.

  3. In the list, select users and press the Add button.
